Religious tolerance is one thing. It is quite another thing to teach children unfalsifiable claims.\u00a0<\/p>\n<section>According to the physicist <a href=\"http:\/\/bigthink.com\/users\/lawrencekrauss\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Lawrence Krauss<\/span><\/a>, author of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/1451624468\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A Universe From Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing<\/span><\/a><\/em>,\u00a0the notion that the earth is 6,000 years old, as opposed to 4.55 billion years old, is simply an error, and a very big error indeed. To teach such an error, Krauss says, has consequences. It would be like &#8220;teaching kids that the distance\u00a0across the United States is 17 feet.
